Binni Prasad is a passionate Kathak artist and dance educator with a strong educational and professional background in dance and communication. She has completed her Master’s in Kathak Dance from Prachin Kala Kendra, Chandigarh, through Jawaharlal Nehru Kala Kendra Institute, and a Master’s in Mass Communication and Journalism from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Mumbai.
Binni has explored and performed various forms of dance, including Semi-Classical, Indian Bollywood, Freestyle and Western Dance, with Kathak as her foundation. Her journey as a dancer has been filled with performances, awards and opportunities across various platforms.
Participating in the National Youth Festival in Delhi is one of her proudest moments of representing Jharkhand. She has also had the privilege of representing India at a dance festival in China, which was a memorable milestone in her artistic journey.
She had the honour of performing Kathak during the Ganga Aarti in Haridwar as part of a High Range of Book Record event organised by the Bhartiya Sanskriti Foundation. This became another memorable and spiritually enriching milestone in her artistic journey.
Binni currently works as a Dance Teacher at Golden Grove Early Learning School, where she enjoys teaching and nurturing young children through dance.
Her teaching focuses not only on dance skills but also on confidence, creativity, coordination and self-expression.
Apart from teaching, she is the founder of Nritya Aarambh Dance Academy, where she continues to train and inspire aspiring dancers.
Her greatest strength is her love of dance and her ability to connect with students of all ages and abilities. She believes dance is not just about learning steps; it is about expressing oneself with confidence and joy.
Beyond the classroom and the stage, Binni believes in lifelong learning and discovering new ways of artistic expression. She is always working to grow as an artist while creating meaningful opportunities for her students.
